Bridgewater Associates.

-Interviewing there, biased.

Is that a mega PE fund? Didn't think so.

Ya, I misread it. I saw megafund.

Would you bet on Dalio over Einhorn, Loeb, etc. for HF?

Dalio over Einhorn for sure, no brainer.

Agreed...Dalio is on a different level. Must be all that meditation shit

No. Dalio is amazing but after going through interviews its because he does a great job of hiring the smartest guys but that's not the bread & butter of the firm. Its the culture. Anyone (who deserves a voice that is) is allowed to call out the managers when they are about to make a moronic call/investment. Everyone including top level managers to bottom level analysts are forced to rigorously back up all claims and ANYONE (that deserves an opinion) is allowed to talk smack to anyone else. This keeps people honest and mitigates moronic investments. At BX or KKR no one would dare talk back to Schwarzman or Roberts (given they aren't active in the investment side at this point in their careers).

I would'nt bet and I would go on their past performance and criminal background check. I would want my hedgefund manager to be squeky clean, and not have any ambitions to screw his contributors illegally and, thanks to the gipper and his founding of subchapter s corporate entities; or as they are referred to by the state of michigan legal flow through enities, legally.

Brilliant returns, true. Again, horrible place to work for junior people. I wish you the best of luck advancing your career there. If you choose to leave, good luck navigating your way around a 2-year non-compete.

Maybe now you understand why so many people who leave go to graduate school or completely different fields.

2-year non-compete for juniors? What makes it difficult to advance you career there?
