If you stay in investment banking, when could you reasonably retire?
$150k a year is a lot to start on. Can I retire at 40 with a short career in investment banking (hopefully reach director)?
Assuming $100k annually after retirement.

If you’re only looking for $100k annually you’d need ~$2.5M to retire. Seems pretty reasonable to do at least that much by 40 if you’re able to save 50%+ of your comp
