ignoring follow up email

Say you spoke with someone or met up with someone, and you email them after saying thanks and asking them to connect you to other ppl and they ignore you, do you still continue to try to talk to that person? Or do you move on?

I would say send them at least one follow-up email, maybe two depending on how well you think you've built up that relationship. I doubt they're just ignoring you. Most people are genuinely busy, especially in IB and you fall very low on the totem pole of priorities.

like someone said before, if you mentioned it over the phone to connect you with others and you had a positive experience, then they might just be busy. I would wait about a week and follow up with some kind of update. Maybe like "I applied, thanks for the advice" or if that's not the case then just send a friendly reminder, they will appreciate that. Reminders are common and you have to be confident to send one to a senior person.
