I'm a cheap b*stard working in M&A

My girlfriend snickered at me by the mall saying I should stop being a "cheap b*stard," and I was utterly perplexed. I honestly cannot understand why people think it's wrong to utilize deals and discounts while having plenty of money. It's my hard earned salary, my long hours filled with sweat and tears, so why on earth should I let some overpricing schmuck vendor pump their profits out of me!

In retrospect, I kinda wish I wasn't seeing red when she made the remark, cause after calling her a gold-digger, I've pretty much solidified my chances of getting laid this week to near zero.
