I'm new to this - How do I get into a bank?

I'm 3rd year compsci at imperial college london. Recently, decided the finance path is for me but have seen my friends go through absolute hell in applying. It seems like now is harder than ever so just need some advice is getting me started. Thanks.

Bro, if you are asking this question without even putting it into ChatGPT first, you are totally cooked. No one is going to spoon-feed you the answers when you cannot do the basics. Best of luck.

Unfortunately at this point you're basically out of time recruiting-wise, unless you have prior internships in SWE or IT which might get you in the door at a firm.

You're best bet is to just stick with Comp Sci and start looking at master's degrees. Comp Sci actually isn't that bad of a degree for IB so you're better off just graduating with that then trying to switch over last minute.

As far as the rest of your undegrad career, I mean just do the usual I guess. Join the finance club, investment fund, maybe try and get an off-cycle internship, but as far as formal recruiting goes you're way behind.

Good luck.

You should probably do a master's degree, try to get a small internship this summer and then mass apply to everything on the Trackr next year
