I’m sorry for asking such a silly question
I’ll make it very short. What is a withdrawal of M&A? Is it stopping the progress of the M&A during the period when the deals are going on (pending phase), or is it divesting your money out of the deal, say ING divests its acquisition of Barings after 10 years when the deal was first initiated and sells it to somebody?
Not sure I am familiar with a withdrawal of M&A as a defined term. ING's divestiture of B is an exit. A withdrawal likely means dropping out of the M&A bidding process
