Include or don't include on resume?

So I was selected to interview for a position on my school's board of directors. There were only 10 students interviewed at a school of over 30,000. Should I include the fact that I was interviewed on my resume even though I didn't the position? If so, under what section? I feel like it's a fairly decent talking point but not getting it could make things difficult.

nah, don't put it, I also interviewed at a small PE shop as a freshman and almost got it, was shortlisted out of several interviewees and all, but not a chance that I'd list it. The most you can spin it into is something you mention in your interview.

That means absolutely nothing. How many people actually applied?

^^ Fair point, they obviously didn't tell us but it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 500ish. That's just based on the number of applications the secretary told me she had to sift through so there may have been more.
