Incoming Investment Banking Analyst - Potential New Client for Firm
All,
I will be joining a BB as a full time analyst this summer after my internship last year. I will be working in a M&A advisory group. Long story short, a big potential client for my firm has reached out to me personally (due to his relationship with my father), with interest in our services to sell his firm.
How shall I proceed with this opportunity to get credit for my contribution while smartly handling the politics within the firm? Should I reach out to an MD / VP / my manager / HR ?
Thanks in advance for your input, I'd really value any thoughts regarding this matter.
Sorry I can't be of much help but dayum. It looks like you are already bringing in the big bucks to the business in your first year.
Figure out who the deal maker or decision maker is and bring it to them. Then rake in all the moneys in your bonus for "bringing in" the client.
