Industry vs Product Expertise as ASO

Ultimate goal is to do tech PE / Growth investing / tech corp dev, but considering two paths. Have been unable to break straight into tech PE, so contemplating the below.

One is doing technology private credit within a large well known MF (think Blue Owl, KKR, BX, etc.), but would only be senior secured lending (not mezz or special sits)

Other is doing LMM / MM Industrials PE at a ~2B fund.

PE experience is obviously better from operational skillset perspective and it being PE , but how does one compare that to the name brand and tech sector expertise I’d get in the first role, even though it is credit?
