Informational Interview Conducted Via Email?

I got in touch with an MD at a BB, he says he would've met up but hes currently moving to another city, and to email him any questions I have for advice.

Whats the best way to approach this? Should I push for a phone call?

I had to do this a lot when I was studying abroad. It works fine as long as you ask decent questions that won't require a long-winded answer (because he might use his phone, so don't make him type too much).

I wouldn't push too hard for a call, especially if he requested an email instead. Honestly, I got my best referral from a guy that I never even spoke to. We just had a few short back and forths in email, and then he put me in touch with some people who could answer more specific questions.

If he says to email him, then email him. No phone calls, especially as he doesn't really know you...
