Informational Interviewer doesn't call, do you call them?

Guys,

I scheduled to have an informational interview at a specific time and he has not called yet. Should I give him a call? hes about 40 minutes late. I have his number, but don't want to be an annoyance to him. Maybe he forgot?

Should I call?

Thanks

Not sure why the above poster got MS'd, but yeah I'd definitely shoot him a quick/polite email letting him know you're still available to speak, and ask if he might prefer to reschedule/is busy. I personally wouldn't call him in this situation either, especially if the person that you're speaking to is in a senior role (probably is already stuck on another phone call that is going long).

CHItizenUsually, I try to workout who's going to call whom during the emails to set up the call. If he says he's going to call you and doesn't, shoot him an email after about 5-10 minutes. There are a variety of reasons why he could be late and didn't call, but if he's already demonstrated he's willing to speak with you, he likely forgot or was jammed on something else, and will either call you soon or try to reschedule.

yeah who the hell MS'ed me. sending an email after waiting for a while is obviously the right approach. i've done this with HHs, HR, analysts, directors.
