Insights on DB London office 2024?

Hi, looking for more information on the following, with regards to DB London/EMEA:

1. Overview of the coverage groups, best and worst

2. Which groups with active dealflow currently (in '23/'24)? Active deals as opposed to more pitch work

3. Best groups for PE exits?

Any insight will be appreciated, thank you!

Best coverage group is industrials imo. I am at one of the top BB and they are serious competitors in that sector, easy top 5, even top 3 depending on the period. I assume deal flow is solid but then again M&A activity in EMEA is still slow at the moment.

Industrials is one of the best sector to cover for PE exits as it's generalist and the types of assets is typically what traditional PE firms are looking for. A lot of sponsor deals.

So all things considered, join the Industrials team if you are interested in PE and want execution work. I don't know about the other teams. I think LevFin is top tier but that's a product group.

DB interns are so fucking funny. When the pjt interns do their self-aggrandizing it's cringe but not that bad because they're still going to work at an elite bank . When the DB kids do its cringe but it's even worse considering they have to return douche bank lmao
