Integrating Python and Tableau into IB analyst work?
Graduating senior, about to join a BB as an IB analyst. However, I'm not sure how long I want to stay in finance and have thought about transitioning to Data Analytics/Data Science for better WLB, after giving IB a shot.
I know that the job revolves around excel and powerpont, but Is there any way to practice/develop Python and Tableau/Looker skills as an IB analyst? Or similar skills that could translate well into a data analytics/data science role? I was exposed to both during college but want to keep practing. Thanks
Nothing, unless you’re working with companies that have really messy data and you can practice using excel to emulate some tableau like functions for graph exhibits over large datasets

Not at banks but you can go for HF/PE. A lot of the SWE / DS roles at these funds pay over 500k
how does WLB doing DS in finance compare to DS in tech or a non-finance company? how often does advancement in these roles require grad school?
Hey, I’m just curious to know if Python would be useful for PE secondaries? If so how?
