Interested in Banking, What Path Should I Take
Next year I will be a freshman at a top 10 US University, and I should be on a sports team there (not really a sport that many people care about though). Anyway, I have been interested in business and the finance world and more recently I have become interested in investment banking. What path should I take to get to a pretty good bank after I leave college? About what GPA do they look for, when do I start looking for internships, and does being an athlete help?
Thanks!
Boxes that should be checked:
Solid GPA (3.5+ is good) Leadership Exp. (Sport probably fits, clubs also work) Summer Exp. (Usually work in finance, especially Junior summer. Can't just relax though)
After that network, know current events, and work on soft skills.
