International Student Recruiting IB SA 2027

Hi everyone, to shed some light on my situation. I am currently an Indian international student (with Stem OPT) in the US who is a sophomore at a semi-target in the US (we have alum but limited amounts at most firms), and I don't really have any connections to people in high finance in the US.

Currently I do not have many processes going for me, and with the number of firms saying they won't sponsor this year, the number of firms I have recruited have be relatively limited. It feels pretty late in the process, but I am keeping my outreach going.

I would appreciate any advice in regard to recruiting for IB or if I should recruit for other roles. I am definitely trying to do that at this point as well. Or if you would recommend eventually branching out and recruiting in the UK or Singapore as well for summer internships (my parents know some people in the UK but I am not sure how realistic it is recruiting there from a US university). My end goal is to work full time in IB in the US out of college. Would appreciate any advice on what to do, even if it involves recruiting for full-time, which I am prepared to do?
