International Students: Analyst Recruiting for US & London BB + Elite Boutique Offices

I'm creating this for monkeys to share info for college kids in countries outside of US and UK who want to break into BB/EB offices (such as GS IBD London, Moelis LA, Centerview NYC, you name it). Some questions to start off: Is there info on # of foreign recruits in these offices, foreign target schools, target countries - (i'm from Canada and i would guess a significant proportion of foreign recruits in US come from Canada from schools like Ivey and Queen's University)?

PS: Asked similar question while back but no responses

From Singapore here, I'll be recruiting fall 2018 but just wanted to wish you guys best of luck! Also I'm studying in the West Coast and I've seen a fair amount of Ivey kids here (especially Barclays FSG LA). I guess with the TN Visa it isn't too hard since all you need is a letter of employment, and won't have to go through the rest of the sponsorship crap unless you want to immigrate here.

So u r an international students studying in the US - probably makes recruitment lot easier. For the banks you know of, do they recruit students studying in Asia, if so what schools are the big names you've seen? Best of luck with recruiting!

From what I know, save Canada (Ivey, Queens, maybe McGill), they don't seem to recruit anywhere else for US offices simply because there is enough talent in the country itself (both local and international). The big US banks do recruit in Asia, but these are primarily for their Asian branches (SG/HK/Shanghai etc). I'd say its much easier to request a transfer from NY to these countries than vice-versa (after taking language barriers into consideration).
