Interns and Grads - what problems you faced during recruiting, things you wish got solved?
Interns and grads, what kind of problems did you face while doing application, interview stage. what do you think would make applying easier from the perspective of an applicant. What else do you wish got fixed by recruiting firms and the banks?
Bump
I'm not a grad or intern, but in the chance this is helpful, if any banks still require cover letters then that should be totally removed. It's very archaic, and I'm fairly sure no one reads them.

I’m a graduate who broke in after undergrad. Somethings that I wish I had done in hindsight was prepared more before I went to college and didn’t party as much. I had a ton of fun which did delay a lot of what I wanted to do, but had I been more serious, been more prepared, and followed through on everything I would’ve achieved my goals a lot earlier. No regrets but I will tell students entering college to be disciplined.
Much easier said than done. I'm similar, partied a lot at Uni and was only late I keyed in on Finance but I still wouldn't trade that experience to be someone who has serious from day 1 at Uni. I feel like everyone experiences and journey is different and should all be embraced.
