No shade, just trying to learn. Summer analysts that didn’t get a return (and hopefully are in an even better place now because of it) and bankers that have seen summer analysts not get a return, what did it?
How often is it a good intern that doesn’t get it because of number issues? Are there any mistakes you made that you have learned from since, but would not make again? What’s the game plan for a current summer analyst?

It was not uncommon seeing “good” interns not getting returns these past two years given high fed rates
It’s usually attitude issues. Just be responsive and try to respond to emails within 15-30 min to the best of your ability and don’t bitch about bitch work. This and don’t be a weirdo although the bar is quite low given most in IB/PE are on the spectrum
