Internship in MM PE or MM IB to get into BB LevFin in London?

What's good, WSO?

I have the options of doing a spring off-cycle internship at either a MM PE or at a top regional MM IB (neither is in London). My goal is to get into LevFin in London, what internship would be more beneficial?

I am at a target and did an SA in second tier IB with a return offer from a credit-related IBD group I am not sure I wanna go into, but would be open to start and lateral to LevFin after 1 year.

The way I see it is that the IB would give me solid modeling skills, and they do a majority of PE deals, although PE is a good way to get experience from buyside but risk of getting less real training in modeling.
