Shouldn’t be afraid of asking your mentor for advice... if you are then mentor relationship seems muddy.

Reach out to him. Tell him that you recently received the interview invitation. Express your excitement about the opportunity. Ask him if he has any advice about the process and if there is anything you can do to best prepare yourself.
