Interview language at regional BB offices
I applied for several off-cycle internships at BBs at one of their regional offices (think France/Italy/Spain/Netherlands/Germany).
If I get an interview, is this typically conducted in English or in the regional language? It is a global bank, the business language is English, fluency in the local language is required but I want to know if the interviews will also be in that language or rather just in English. I am fluent in the regional language where I applied, just asking so I can be better prepared.
If anyone has experience interviewing at regional European BB/EB offices, I appreciate your insights.
As far as I know, normal interviews are 80% local language 20% English (for local candidates), dont know if this changes on foreigners. local language absolute fluency is mandatory though
Tbh in France they most likely won’t hire you unless you’re French OR speak native French while having strong competitive advantages elsewhere. Interviews are conducted in French and they will speak English for a minute but that’s it.
