Interview put in with MD.....

Monkeys...

I'm recruiting for a Lev Fin trading desk and have been through a couple rounds of interview. I have an interview scheduled with the MD of the desk on Friday but haven't done any case studies as of yet....

Is this normal?- aren't MD rounds typically  the final ones?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for MD interviews to be part of the final stages, but the structure can vary depending on the firm and group. For a Lev Fin trading desk, MD interviews often focus on assessing your fit with the team, your understanding of the desk's operations, and your ability to handle the role's demands.

The absence of case studies so far isn't necessarily unusual. Some processes include case studies earlier, while others might reserve them for later stages or skip them entirely, depending on the role's focus. If you're concerned, it might be worth preparing for potential technical or case-related questions just in case they come up during the MD round.
