Interview Q: Is it ever okay to bring up politics?
I'm just about to start doing some serious interviewing. Given that this is election year and that every fifth thing on the news has to do about the election, is it okay to bring it up? Not necessarily saying, "I support Person X," but rather discussing your interest in the election process and how interested you are in seeing how things turn out, given that there are about 3 front runners for each party.
I've been following the candidates pretty closely, and it's something I've recently become passionate about. I could always forgo talking about it, but I don't want to be Finance/markets/banking and nothing else.
