Interview: What's Your Excel/PowerPoint Skill Level?
I was helping out my group recently on screening potential candidates. I have a list of questions that I generally ask people and to my surprise, one of the questions that seems to hurt candidates is "What's your excel/ppt skill level?" Most candidates can provide a few examples on some relevant work but many struggled on elaborating their actual skills (macro, formula, formatting, etc.)
As we are heading into recruiting season, I figure it would be interesting and potentially constructive to ask and see what would you guys answer this type of questions (others like "what are some skills you can bring to the table") ?
if an interviewer asked me that during an actual interview I'd cry tears of joy to be honest

V/hlookups are the worst. They're clunky, slow your file down, are the definition of rigid, can only look in one direction, etc. Flat out, they suck and index match can do the same thing but even better.
