Interviewing during the work day.... thoughts?
3-yrs into my current role, a FO corp. banking gig in a major city at a BB.
I'm approaching that time in my career where I am looking for the next challenge, what does everyone think about leaving work for 2-3 hours to interview during the day at a diff firm (10-15min uber ride away)?
I don't want to keep taking sick days, I'm just concerned if I leave the office with a suit and tie on + a manilla folder of resumes someone will notice.
A separate question, do folks even still wear ties / bring resumes or notebooks to interviews?

I think it really depends on the dynamic of your group. Some are so supportive of recruiting that seniors will allow analysts to openly interview at buyside firms, others you may have to be more discreet. In any event, don’t think it’s a big deal as long as you aren’t shirking your normal duties.

If you're very active in looking for a job right now, go "apartment shopping". You can use that excuse over and over until you find that perfect "apartment".
Yes, you should bring everything you described to an interview. Just put the tie on after you leave the office. Keep the notebook in a bag.
also this is why if you are very active in job hunting you should dress up everyday so no one notices that you are coming in with a suit on a day you are actually interviewing
