What are we supposed to answer to the following question: "what is your mid-term goal" when we are applying for a job in IB? What do you think is the best answer ?
- I'll do a MBA in 3 or 4 years
- I wish I could be an associate/VP within your group
- I see this job as a great opportunity to go into VC/PE/AM in a couple of years

When I was asked this question I usually said that I really wasn't sure. I would say that at the end of my 2-3 years as an analyst, if I enjoyed what I was doing and enjoyed the people that I worked with, I would probably hope I would have the opportunity to move up within the same group. If I felt like I needed a change in my life, I would think about pursuing business school.
