Investing from banking/Corp dev

Hey all, I’ve done about 7 months at a big Investment Bank. Ultimately realized like many it’s not for me, but having some health issues that have led me to look for new roles. The sector coverage is not for me and the hours as a first year have been extraordinarily bad despite a relatively quiet time. Ultimately looking to end up in growth equity one day or even business development in PE. I just got offered a very laid back corporate development job that will allow me to work through the health issues + family things I’m going through. If I jump with the short tenure, will I be able to jump to growth or PE down the line without going back into banking?
