Investment banking at Rockefeller
Does anyone have any thoughts about the IBD at Rockefeller? I know it’s a small group and the firm mostly focuses on their wealth management. There applications just opened.

Really amazing group of people. Can't opine on their deals as they seem to be fairly secretive, but during my conversation with an MD heard that they worked alongside Goldman on the billion-dollar Franklin Templeton -> Putnam deal. Also heard one associate say the culture is like "an old start-up," which must be because of their vanguard of a wealth management platform alongside the IBD's recent conception. Considering their tremendous growth over the last 2-4 years, I'm really excited to see how the firm continues to evolve and pull mandates from the UHNW clients they manage money for.
i heard the opposite from someone who left
opposite of what? the culture?
can I PM you
ya sure
i mean ill just type all i know here
im an undergrad so take this with grain of sale but spoke to a former analyst and he said all he did was pitch and slave and not a ton of deal flow since they’re fighting with bigger banks
all experiences are unique tho and i’m sure it varies but in terms of vibes it was very 90’s hardo banker culture when he was there and he’s at a better/more prestigious spot now
It’s like a garage band operation
Just checked CapIQ
While the only data I had access to was between 2020-2023, it’s hard to believe a garage band could advise 13 $500mm+ deals with 7 of them being multi-billion dollar ones.
Any chance a European would have a shot (who needs a visa)?
