Investment Banking/ Equity Research Internship in Colombia. Is it worth it?, can It help me to get into into the industry in Europe?.

Hello!,

I got a bachelor and master degree from a British  university ,have been working for 9 months  in Business and Product Development (Unit-Linked, Pension Funds,saving insurances) in a Euro Stoxx Insurance company in Greece. Besides, I would like to get into equity research or, if I get the opportunity, I may consider investment banking.

After 2 years I haven't been able to get into equity research in Greece, not even an interview.However, I have been in few investment banking interviews.  

My objective is to work in Germany but I have to wait to be an EU citizen  to move. However, my dad has some contacts in Colombian banks and he may be able to find a  7 months investment banking internship in Bogota for me. 

Is it worth it to give it a try?, can it help me to get into investment banking in Europe?, an experience in investment banking can help me to get into equity research in Europe?.
