Investment banking internship!!!! Urgent!!

Hi all, I have interviewed with a MD in an investment bank last November. He verbally gave me an offer after the interview. But after few days, he told me that another MD also employed an intern and therefore hv to give up me. And the MD interviewed me asked me to email him again in January, as there would be another opening in February (didn’t tell me too much, simply ask me to write back). I wrote back to him in the early Jan and didn’t get any response from him so far. Shd I write him again politely? If yes, what u guys suggest me to include? Or he asked me to write back is just a way to politely rejected me.

Thanks guys!!! That’s my first internship in investment bank.

Bro relax just send him a follow up email by replying to the original one you sent him and in the subject write “FOLLOW UP:” right before the original email subject line. MDs are busy and get emails every single minute and chances are he probably missed yours. Just follow up saying something like: Hi first name,

Hope you’re doing well. Just wanted to follow up on the possible internship position at your bank.

Hope to hear from you.

Best, Grieze
