Investment Banking Introduction Pitch to Prospects
Hi All,
I spent 3 years at a decent MM bank, and have transitioned to a more a role with a boutique with two other MDs. I know most may not consider this an "upgrade", but I really enjoy the visibility and client relationship development aspects. I have been able to greatly expand my network in our city (not a huge financial hub), and get cuts of deals I bring in plus a decent base.
I am wanting to expand our base of companies we reach out to via email potentially. Our target audience is companies with $15M-100M in revenues. Many of the companies are still owned by the original owners. Would email marketing be effective? If so, what would be a good, short email that would capture the attention of an owner if they were interested.
I have sent about 100 (very specific industry), and had 4 calls from them. One has turned into some strategy work, which may lead to a deal.
I generally start the email by introducing the firm and industry group I focus on. Then, I explain our services, and at the end, mention I'd like to follow-up with call to learn more about their long term objectives and potential need for capital.
Any tips?
