Investment banking to big oil
Contemplating a move from Investment banking analyst (2nd year) at a BB to a financial analyst position in Controller's at a major oil company (Exxon, BP, Chev). Pay is significantly less, but I am wondering how this would look for future prospects in the corporate world. Would there still be a potential opportunity for O&G private equity in the future, given the mix of experience, or would that go out the window once I leave banking? Please shoot a list of pros and cons.
Thanks
Why wouldn't you go straight to O&G PE?
I would try to O&G PE directly
