Investment Banking/PE: from London to Milan

Hi guys! I've read thousands of topics but it's the first time I am actually contributing on WSO.

I am about to finish my first year as an IBD analyst in a BB in London, and I am already thinking about future career developments.

I am Italian, and my dream in the next two years would be going back to Milan in Banking or PE. However, I have never been contacted by any HeadHunter From Italy and I have very few connection there to network with.

Does anyone know stories about people who managed to go back to Italy from London? Shall I start proactively contact HeadHunters? Which are the main HH agencies there? Shall I just apply on Corporate Websites?

Any help would be super appreciated! Thanks a lot.
