Is a 20 min walk 10 min car to work close enough or should I aim for something closer for my SA? Thx

Is it only a 20 minute walk? Or 20 minutes + 10 minute car ride?
I’m assuming it’s only a 20 minute walk which is fine. If you can get something closer that’d be great but 10-20 minutes away is manageable and you should focus more on the pricing and safety of the location.
Also lot of people I know buy those electric scooters and use those to go into work. Depends on culture though I’m based in SF and it’s pretty normal here - not sure if NYC is the same or if your MD will think you’re a tool 😂

Perfectly fine - it also serves as a good break to clear your mind.
Usually when most people say 20 mins; it ends up being a 35 min commute.

Google maps says 17 min walk 8 min car. .7 miles away
Umm…for walking? No. It is 0.7 miles (or just count city blocks). Unless you get caught in every single red light or walk at a snail’s pace that is at most 20 mins. I usually subtract 10-15% on the walking recommendations. For driving, I agree 100%, in nyc you want to add time to that estimate.
20min 0.7 miles is perfectly fine. It’s not like your going to run into traffic or something and if you’re running late just walk a bit faster
