Is Capital Markets Prestigious?

Hey guys hope all is well at the moment. I am new to this site, have interest in banking and hence wanted some insight on the capital markets divisions. I have looked at a couple of internship application postings and the job descriptions appeal to me greater than regular IBD internships to due their closer relation to markets work. To keep this short and concise I want to know whether the capital markets divisions are regarded as prestigious and respected to the same extent as M&A divisions for example? Any sort of insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Prestigious in the sense that people will say, "wow, what a cool guy"? Not that much less "prestigious" than M&A or another hyped up group. Most people don't know the nuances enough to really nitpick about whether you are DCM or M&A.

Prestigious in the sense of exit ops? Way more exits from coverage and M&A. At the internship level, you obvious aren't going to be pricing IPOs or structuring bond issuances, it'll be endless market update after market update, the exact same work repeated across several different decks.
