Hello everyone, I am a freshman in high school and have always wanted to get into the field of finance or more specifically IB. From the limited research I have done it is apparent excel is extremely important but I wanted to hear from those who actually work in the field or from the horses mouth.

For sure, but you really won't touch Excel until sophomore or junior year of college and it is really not hard to learn. Your focus should be on getting a good college application going - clubs, GPA, involvement. Good Excel skills will not impress any college application teams.
