Is Houlihan Lokey FVA considered Investment Banking?
Had a buddy who just received an offer in their Financial Valuation and Advisory division and was wondering if it's considered part of IB?

It’s just not in the corp fin division because it has to be in another division (fva) because it needs to be an unbiased fairness opinion

People will try to pass it off as IB, but it's really just like B4 TAS.
It’s prob much better than B4, and if it’s transaction opinions specifically, it is pretty much IB adjacent
