Is it appropriate to ask to delay my start date by a week to give more time to relocation? Off-cycle First Year Analyst
What's up,
I received an offer today which has a start date of December 5th. I am moving a few hours to NYC and need to relocate and find somewhere to sublet, and was thinking of asking HR to push back my start date by a week to December 12th. Would this be appropriate? I'm off-cycle so I wouldn't be training with a ton of other analysts, but still don't want to get off on the wrong foot. Still, another week to figure out apartments would be really helpful.
