Is it in poor form to tailor cover letter/growth interest to a specific sector you want to work with when applying to IB jobs?
I'm a junior applying for IB summer analyst positions for this summer and I want to work with clean tech, is that something that I should bring up in the cover letter and interview or should I figure it out later? Thanks!
That's good form, but I always prefer spending the time I would edit, refine a cover letter networking.
Really hope this is a stupid question... are you applying to an IB role related to clean tech?
In general, that is fine to do (but people don't really read cover letters anyway).
However, I would not do that if the sector in question is clean tech, since it's not clear that every bank will cover clean tech.
