Is it okay to praise a bank’s culture?

During cold emailing, I couldn’t find any common ground with the senior bankers I target. (he comes from target, very successful early on.) Is it okay to say one friend of mine mentioned the great culture at your firm and I would love a chance to learn about it etc. Does it show my softness?

Could be the most generic email talking point of all time but if it's the best you've got then shooters gotta shoot.

"Out the garage is how you end up in charge It's how you end up in penthouses, end up in cars, it's how you Start off a curb servin', end up a boss"

I'd advice against it. First, if you are talking about the general culture then it's HR that runs that show and pretty much everyone hates them because their job is being there to get a piece from the money you make and then disappearing the moment the clock hits 5:00. If you are talking about the culture of their specific group then they'll just know there is no way you could know enough specifics for your comment to even be a meaningful statement. In other words, best case scenario your words meant nothing.

I know squash players usually lunge to hit shots but this is a straight full front court dive to recover a drop shot in order to salvage some pride and avoid your girl wondering whether the lax bro from UPenn might be a better bf after getting back to back 11 loved games against Ivy League squash team captain and future Rhodes scholar Chad Wellington The third from Greenwich, CT.

Squash players as you know usually lunge into shots when playing a backhand or forehand shot. This attempt by OP is more like a desperate attempt at shooting his shot which is represented by the squash player desperately diving in the front court to recover a drop shot in order to save himself from his girl drooling over the lax bro from UPeen after losing the first 2 games 11-0 to the top tier player from insert Yale or Harvard mentioned as Chad. In squash this is a straight fuck you, eat my cock and I will dominate your girl post match move to win all three games 33-0 furthermore this allows the player known as Chad in this example to assert his prep school and American or British junior open championship pedigree in your non target high school, lost in the first round of the MetroSquash Junior Gold to the wannabe Ramy Ashour with the dad who screams YALLAH after every back court boast winner that should have hit the tin pedigree.

I think it's okay, but obviously try to find a better talking point if you can. Internet stalking is pretty easy these days
