Is it worth applying to Associate jobs with 1 year off cycle experience?
Applying for Quant or DS roles in AM mostly in London.
The off cycle was at an EU AM. Just graduated with a MSc from top EU engineering school but a non-target.
Would like to break into BBs / AMs with 1 trillion + aum.
Is it still worth applying for associate opening with one year experience? or is it a waste of time? especially at BBs. Should I apply for off-cycles? Or apply for one year finance masters at target school?
Off cycle is at an intern level if I’m correct, you would rather apply for analyst roles subsequently if I understand your post correctly
I should've been clearer - I am still applying to analyst roles and also applying to associate roles if they seem relevant. Generally ppl say applying doesn't hurt but was wondering if the firms would even consider a person with 1 year of intern experience for their associate openings. Thanks for the comment.
