Is it worth it?

I'm currently in college and have been looking into IB since high school. Some aspects, especially M&A, hold a high interest to me, However the work life balance seems to kill the job. Is the amount of work in IB really worth the salary? If I can make it to PE is it really that much better? I've worked my ass off throughout college and am confident that I can land a MBB or elite boutique job. But i'm struggling in deciding which route to take because of the work life balance found in IB

If you have to ask, don't do IB/PE. MBB has a good balance. Look into tech as well.

You're mature for thinking about it now vs starting your career and then panicking like many.
