Is M&A Superior ?
I keep getting this feeling that M&A bankers are somehow superior at least from the interactions I have had with them.
"Hey most of what you do is equity raising and we negotiate stuff".
Honestly idk. Do you talk about synthetic options as an Analyst or Associate in M&A ?
Do people get meaningfully better exit options if you have tons of M&A experience under the belt? It's not like I don't want that, but it happens biotech firms are doing IPOs and that's what my team gets to do.
Another thing is lateral firms want solid ex-M&A experience, but I don't have that, and I cannot get that at current bank, only weak M&A experience. So...that's it then?
