Career Resources
I actually had a buddy do it, he went to a super regional balance sheet bank. Have you tried getting onto more interesting coverage? There’s a world beyond general govies, you can do high yield munis, healthcare, low income housing. All require more analytical work and fewer RFPs.
I’m trying to get as far tf away from DBC as I can
Low income housing then, do a few LIHTC deals and move to the developer side.
For lev fin, network hard and target shittier players like Euro Balance Sheet Banks or Regional/Super Regional American Commercial Banks. Pretty much anyone with 20-50Bn+ in assets is fair game.
Thanks. I guess I’d try to use the similar credit focus as a transferable skill between both roles during interviews
No need to downgrade firms. Don’t settle but start preparation now and wait for the right opportunity.
Very doable from a BB. Make the jump sooner than later.
Thanks, I’m at a BB and plan on making the switch in the next 6 months max
