Is PWM Worth It To Get Future IB Positions?
I'm a first-year student based in Toronto looking to move into investment banking when I'm older. Recruiting for first year summer is going ok right now and I'm exploring some leads I got through cold-emailing, including a potential position at RBC as a private wealth analyst intern for their Dominion Securities arm. I was just wondering if anyone had similar roles when they were younger that allowed them to break into IB at large banks, or is a PWM position not capable of such growth? I appreciate any opinions, thanks.
