Is SF boring for single post grads who like to party?

Currently interning in SF in IB. Beautiful views with great weather, love my group/firm, but the lack of bars/clubs with a young/normal crowd below 30 concerns me in terms of coming here FT. Am I missing something or should I follow my gut and get to NYC? I’ve been to some cool bars in the Marina I guess but felt out of place as a 21 year old. Heck I think anyone under 25 would feel young in all the bars. Also the entire city shuts down so early. Large chunk of restaurants closing at 8PM like wtf? I don’t think there is a bar here that is open past 2AM either. Just feel like this city is much better for the older crowd. The aggressively liberal people / angry crackheads / poop & needles on the street is an entirely different discussion but also very real. People who went from SF -> to NYC, was it the right move?
