Is the AmplifyMe "Summer Analyst Training Programme" worth it?

Hello there, I am a first-year chemistry student in London and decided that I'd like to become an IB this month. Considering my late start, I have absolutely no experience and I'm trying to gather as much as possible to be appealing for internships that I'd like to apply to next year. Is this programme worth the investment? Thank you.

Pay-to-play internships are never worth it. People who did their programs and got offers at banks would’ve gotten the offers without the program either way.

You’re better off hustling your ass off in the next couple of weeks cold emailing to get an internship at a boutique this summer and get real experience that you can talk about in interviews in autumn.

To be honest if I saw this type of program on a resume I would be far less impressed than someone who worked a blue collar retail job or studied abroad. That is such a ridiculous amount of money for very little value, borderline scammy.

Definitely agree start working your ass off for some boutique that might let you come in this summer... even wealth management somewhere local would give you something to talk about
