Is the week that BBs dedicate to series 79 training enough?
I'm starting full-time in June but I'm a history major with little finance background. Is the test going to super hard for me?

heres two good threads for you to look over. Appears the test is more memorization of regulatory material than quantitative stuff, but i'm assuming that changes from test to test.
I haven't taken the exam, just relaying what was said in those threads. I would definitely prepare for it though, there's plenty of guides online for you to look over.
You get the actual materials prior to the start of training (or at least, we did), so you can study to your heart's content.
But seriously, it wasn't very hard and it was like 80-90% memorization (but then again, most of it was somewhat familiar to me already - not a history major).
The week you have to prepare is absolutely enough if you put the work in to study. It's a lot of rote memorization of rules and regs. Very little actual finance is required.
This might be off-topic but how long does training go at a BB? Starting summer 2015.
6 weeks for me -MM in London
Definitely a lot of memorization of rules and regulations, which is the biggest pain in the ass. Everything else is pretty easy (if you have basic finance knowledge on technicals)..
when does FT usually start? mid-june?
My training starts like 2-3rd week of June next year. I would assume most banks are similar.
