Is this an offer for a referral?
Recently met an MD at a BB following a networking event hosted by my school. I sent a follow up email asking for a brief 15-20 minute chat to talk about their background and they responded a couple days later thanking me and to let them know what I'm interested in so they can point me in the right direction. They're not an MD for the IB division, but under a similar umbrella. Is this an offer for a referral? And if so, how can I request a referral politely for the IB role I applied for?
