Is this normal?

Sorry for the rant, but is it normal to be spending so much time and energy booking calls with clients, investors, internally, etc.? I feel like I'm a glorified exec admin, and Invariably send several emails every day trying to coordinate calls across multiple parties, it's a massive distraction.

Trying to gauge if it's my firm's problem (at an EB) or if that's normal across the street. I'm just shocked at how much admin BS this job involves, and booking calls takes the cake.

One tip: For anyone you don't care about politically (so not your client or an important investor, but comanagers or whatever) only solicit availability from one person at each organization. You implicitly make it their problem, if they want to have a big (but unnecessary) "presence" on the call to figure out their own availability internally, then get back to you with one answer.

I've also heard that netroadshow is building something for this into their dealsite/WGL app, but not sure.
